Drilling Program Manager.  Eagle has an immediate need for an experienced, full-time Drilling Program Manager.  The selected candidate must have ten years of experience with geotechnical and environmental drilling to include, auger, mud, and air rotary drilling.  Geothermal drilling experience is highly preferred, and candidates with this experience will have priority.  The selected candidate must have the ability to operate Mayhew – Diedrich and Foremost Mobile rigs.  In addition, this position is responsible for all operations, including: cost estimates/proposals, crew and equipment scheduling, project management, purchasing, equipment maintenance, inventory control, safety, compliance and employee hiring, training, motivation and supervision.  Responsible for developing, managing, revising and implementing programs, policies and procedures to ensure maximum operating efficiency and excellent health and safety practices.  Also, responsible for maintaining positive relations with existing and potential clients, consultants, property owners, and governmental/regulatory personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily scheduling and field operations including crew logistics, equipment and employee utilization, and job problems implementing solutions while maintaining operating efficiencies.
  • Responsible for the management of the day-to-day projects ensuring the successful completion of projects within established schedules and budgets which will include:
  • Planning and organization of projects
  • Communicate job details to crew and clients
  • Reviews job contracts, ensures it is in place, signed and the risk is minimized
  • Ensure quality work performance, adherence to safety, and compliance to schedules and budgets

Preferred Relevant Experience:

  • High School Diploma (College Degree preferred)
  • 5 years of relevant supervisory/management experience
  • At least 2 years of field experience in geology/geotechnical or environmental drilling
  • Knowledge of Safety, Human Resources, and administration practices
  • OSHA 40/HAZWOPER and MSHA 40 hour training
  • Knowledge of rigs, mechanics and repairs
  • CDL (class A or B) and an acceptable driving record
  • Well Driller’s License (or the ability to obtain one within one year of employment)
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, and subject to random drug testing while on duty
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to lift 100 pounds repetitively and on a daily basis
  • Computer competency and the ability to read, write, speak English

Driller’s Assistant.  Eagle is accepting applications for a Driller’s Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is willing to start from the bottom and work their way up. The selected individual must have mechanical skills, be familiar with performing machine maintenance, organizing inventory and parts, and previous experience welding is helpful. The selected individual must also have the ability to work well with other staff members, have good written and verbal communication skills, be able to follow safety guidelines, and demonstrate potential and motivation through actions in their work. This position requires the individual to capable of heavy lifting (75-100 lbs.), and to be able to work under adverse weather conditions. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
• Must be able to operate a manual transmission
• Must have an acceptable Nevada driving record — current DMV report will be required at time of interview
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and subject to drug testing while on duty
• Must be in good physical condition
